It really does look impressive! ♥ I enjoyed watching your work on this model's pearls the most. Usually, when I am drawing similar work, I put the most effort into the reflections of light on my figures' hair, like zigzags.
I usually put more detail into the hair as well, but for black hair it's really easy for the tones to blend into one another, so I prefer a more simple 'less is more' touch. Perhaps my next speedpaint will have a slightly more colorful character to play with!
Usually, with black-haired characters, I have used colour-pencil in traditional mediums and waited until I could transfer to Photoshop to approach them well such as with this one, which I did sixteen years ago: https://www.deviantart.com/randomclaire-chan/art/Himawari-and-the-Sunflowers-27668503 (The legs on that character were too long, but they matched the too-long arms.)
